Remote Connectivity

The New Enjay ThinClient products, powered by New Enjay Embedded Linux OS, has large number of connectivity options.

Consider this example, which will make the idea more clear:
  • Suppose you have HO and branch offices.
  • you want all branch offices to connect to the Terminal Server @ HO.
  • Now, there are more than few ways to do it:
  • Firstly, the configuration is very easy since, the OS has GUI configuration for all this things.
  • For connectivity you may use following settings:
    • Broad Band (ADSL), leased line  OR.
    • Normal Modems (for old bsnl lines) - serial, usb etc. OR.
    • Reliance or Tata, or any other GSM modem - (usb, or serial) OR.
    • Wireless connectivity thru RF modems.
  • Enjay Embedded OS, supports largest number of network communication devices

Failover System

The New Enjay ThinClient products, powered by New Enjay Embedded Linux OS, has some very neat enterprise class options, which can make your life as a system admin - very very easy.

If your main server is down, you can configure Enjay ThinClient to AUTOMATICALLY connect to another server.
Consider this example, which will make the idea more clear:
  • Suppose you have two servers:
    • SERVER1 server which is remotely located @ (H.O),
    • SERVER2 second server which is local (Branch).
    • And, the Branch server is a fail-over server,
  • which means that if the HO server is not available your thin client should connect to branch server.
  • This is perfectly possible with New Enjay Embedded OS.

Multiple Servers

The New Enjay ThinClient products, powered by New Enjay Embedded Linux OS, comes with multi-protocol, Multi-session, multi-server support. This means a great thing for you. You can access multiple servers simultaneously.

Consider this example to make the idea more clear:
  • Imagine you have 2 windows servers & 1 Linux server –
    • WINSERVER1 for accounts
    • winsERVER2 for your ERP.
    • LINUXSERVER1 for your custom application.
  • You want your Enjay ThinClient users to be able to log on to all three servers simultaneously
  • With new Enjay Embedded OS, you can do this.
  • Yes, you can connect multiple servers, and then switch between them with single key stroke.
  • Enjay Embedded OS, is with multi-protocol, Multi-session, multi-server support.

Kiosk Mode

There are situations when you need a system which is self serviced, like the ones you see on railway platforms, airports.

These computers have one particular software running on it, and all the users can use it. Only that software can be used. This feature, more popularly known as KIOSK mode.
These computers, dont require administration - they can be managed from a central location by the admins.

The New Enjay ThinClient products, powered by New Enjay Embedded Linux OS, comes with option to run ThinClient in a KIOSK mode.

Super Kiosk Mode

Suppose you have an Online ERP application which runs on a web browser, and you want all your users to use that - only that.

Apparently it means, that users should get access to internet - but only one site should e accessible.


This is called SUPER-KIOSK mode, super kiosk mode is nothing but hardened kiosk mode.
